The Institute and the Bipartisan Policy Center are offering a series of virtual briefings to help journalists enhance their understanding and coverage of the new law’s major themes.
Part three of the series broke down key provisions in the new law affecting housing policy and benefits for families — two issues that impact millions of readers and viewers nationwide. Speakers covered what the law means for the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, the popular child tax credit claimed by millions of taxpayers every year, as well as the new $6,000 deduction for seniors and the newly-created Trump accounts. They also discussed how these changes may affect the housing market and working parents.
